Caloundra Arts Centre Association will throw open its’ doors to the general public on Saturday 29th March 2014 from 9.00am to 4.00pm. The Centre is located at 5 North Street , Caloundra (behind Caloundra Woolworths and opposite Oaks Oasis Resort).
Parking is available at the Centre and nearby and is free. Visitors may see the centre in action on this open day and expo which will feature displays and demonstrations from all 17 groups. C.A.C.A. members will be seen at varying stages of competency from beginners to experts and will happily share their knowledge and expertise in their chosen craft.
Many crafts are represented here, including lace-making, embroidery, quilting and spinning. All mediums of art are displayed from porcelain painting, pastels and pottery. Local supporters and visitors can wander through this wonderful spacious centre and see some of the stunning art and craft work up close, enjoy some delicious refreshments and absorb the creative and friendly atmosphere. Most of the groups are happy to welcome new members and this will be the ideal opportunity to speak to the people involved. If you have been thinking about joining a craft group, now would be a good time.
