Sunshine Coast Winter Bowls Carnival 2011

Five major carnivals with prize money in excess of AUD120,000, conducted during June, July and August are the prime reasons why over 4,600 participants from all States of Australia and New Zealand make the Sunshine Coast their preferred holiday and bowling destination. The premier event is the 49th Sunshine Coast Winter Bowls Carnival offering prize money in excess of AUD20,000. Eight different events are played at local clubs over 14 days. This is the only carnival that offers a Open Mixed Singles event, offering AUD2,800 in prizes.

The Sunshine Coast Winter Bowls Carnival, conducted by seven clubs and the district association, gets underway on Saturday 28 May 2011 at Buderim Bowls Club. The competition continues at Maroochy Swan Bowls Club from Sunday 12 June 2011 and concludes on Sunday 3 July 2011. Then to Mooloolaba Bowls Club from Saturday 11 June 2011 until Sunday 26 June 2011. The District competition runs from Tuesday, 5 July 2011 until Sunday, 17 July 2011. The competition then moves to Caloundra City Bowls Club commencing on Monday, 18 July 2011 and concluding Saturday, 30 July 2011. Final games will be played at Kawana Bowls Club from Sunday, 31 July 2011 until Thursday, 4 August 2011.
